Meditation
Story from ?.I
I am finding Alpha rewarding and joyful – peace of mind, love and understanding can be with me always. I found after a couple of weeks that I was able to start meditating again – something I had not been able to do for 2 ½ years.
Meditation
Story from D.H, Sydney
I've been meaning to write for ages to say thank you for your course. I did the seminar a while ago with the aim of learning to relax and find more joy in life. It certainly has helped me, but I'm finding it is a slow process to change my thinking to be more positive, accepting, spontaneous, confident ... there are so many aspects of my life that I want to improve. Also there is the practical side of fitting the meditation into my daily routine. Sometimes I just use the tapes to help me fall asleep at night - not an active meditation then! Probably my most useful meditations were just before I started teaching a University Course recently. I prepared the whole course outline as I meditated. I felt so relaxed and confident, knowing that I had developed a good plan for the 14 weeks. Many of the students told me they enjoyed my course too. Now I'm preparing a high school dinner dance. Some aspects of the night's program have been worrying me. This morning on the train I meditated and came up with some new ideas for getting the program sorted out. Meditation is so good for clear thinking. I heard you talking about forgiving being helpful for the forgiver. Thanks for sharing that idea on TV. Best Wishes.
Calming influence
Story from E.T. Qld.
Thank you very much for the birthday wishes that you sent me. Yes I am still reaping the benefits of the
Life Skills Seminar that I attended, very much so, and sometime in the future I will attend again.
I do use my PP. I always use it at the beginning of my daily meditation and at other times as a calming influence. Thank you also for your CALM reports. Kindest Regards.
Attending with Partner
Story from L.G. Qld
The CHI Seminar has provided me with the tools to increase my meditation ability and focus on matters and
goals that can and will influence my life.
While fate can often present us with opportunities and ‘curve balls’ that are beyond our ability to alter, this seminar clearly demonstrates that we are to a very large degree, in control of our own destiny.
Also attending this seminar with my partner has given us the opportunity to set and achieve joint goals that will benefit not just myself, but also my partner and our family. This experience has impacted on both of us in a most positive and loving way.
Thanks Sandy for sharing your experience and your personal journey for the betterment of others.

Thank you for a very informative seminar on meditation. I've been to meditation workshops before but never quite got the knack of it. You have really brought all the threads together for me. With the practice and the clarity of your explanations I know that I am getting somewhere with your method. Not enough words can say - Thank you so much. Story from C.B. Qld

May I tell you what happens when I meditate. My mind is completely still. A warm energy fills every cell of my body and my heart expands. The most beautiful feeling of real love fills my whole Being. Yes I am part of life with all the wisdom, strength and courage I need for whatever will be presented this day. That is the most wonderful gift I can receive in life …………. and the ability to do it is always there. Just connect with it and be conscious of it. My whole Being fills with gratitude.

Thank you for the email and also for coming to Nelson, NZ recently for the
seminar. Just what I learnt then has been very helpful, I have learnt other meditation techniques before but the one you taught is much easier and enjoyable!

Story from B.N. NSW
Each day, in every way, my life gets better and better. Often it is only marginal, but that is better than going back into that awful abyss. Thanks to you I now have a smile in my heart. Even at the end of a tough day (and there are many) I still have a smile in my heart, as well as on my face. I am working slowly, but surely, towards MY goals and that feels so good. Each day I do the "Inner Peace and Harmony" meditation. I also do the "Making Sleep Easy and Useful" each night, that is also helping me BIG TIME. Thank you.

Taking care of self
Story from S.R. Vic
Just a few lines to pass on my sincere thanks for a wonderful weekend recently. I gained so much and am determined to make Alpha and Theta a big part of my life. So far, so good. I have been going to Alpha on an average of 10-15 times a day, and so far I have managed to have one big session per day since the weekend. I would just like to share this experience with you ... when we did the pain release meditation, for some reason, I had this scary feeling whenever the colour dark blue was mentioned - it was like a fearful feeling, and I also had an uncomfortable feeling in my throat at the end. However, during the next meditation I asked for answers to the experience and I cried and cried almost throughout the whole meditation. The feelings however were of happiness and the answer I got was that I needed to release my feelings more and cry more than I do. I could really relate to this as I try really hard to be an empathetic listener and can cry tears for others, but when it comes to dealing with my own feelings, I'm afraid I've been notorious for stuffing the feelings down and fighting back tears, to the stage that I often find it difficult to cry. By the way, the colour dark blue hasn't been a problem for me since. Once again, thank you for sharing yourself with all of us - seminar was fantastic.

Having recently participated in my second CHI seminar, I am reminded once again of the usefulness of its meditative and reflective methods for identifying one’s priorities and setting goals. The strategies presented for reinforcing and supporting one’s intentions to achieve these goals are practical and easily adopted. The processes used are respectful and empowering, and there is a balance between shared and independent learning and reflection. Attending for the second time after seven years, the CHI seminar provided the opportunity to more deeply explore life priorities, and once again I came away with effective meditative techniques and an enhanced sense of clarity and vision for the future. Dear Sandy, Here is my testimonial. It took me a couple of days to write and to get it to roll smoothly and to cover the study tapes, seminar and the CD Seminar ... Hope you are doing well ... We are so grateful ..We, my mother who is 74 and I, LOVED the seminar! Many blessings to you ! Love, Elita
It was 1996 and I was a single parent working mother of two sons when I returned to University to gain degrees in psychology. It had been over 30 years since I had studied. I had bought Sandy's tapes, "The Students Steps To Success." I would listen to the tapes every night before I went to bed with headphones. Thanks to discovering Sandy's tapes my self confidence levels increased and my ability to relax and actually enjoy studying increased. Yes, that is right! I ENJOYED studying. How is that possible? Learning to build and "get into" my peaceful place within seconds played a major role in overcoming test anxiety and developing effective study techniques. Without question Sandy's study and exam techniques are profoundly invaluable and empowering!
I would visualise the grades I was aiming for and see hear and feel how the outcome would be after I had achieved the exam results. I was actually EXCITED when I entered the exam room for the first time - confident that I had retained all the information I had learned by using the techniques on the tape. Prior to using Sandy's tapes my confidence was at an all time low and I suffered exam anxiety. Not this time! ... I walked into that exam room and to my desk, smiling and felt somewhat apart from others, who were looking nervous. When it was time to turn over the exam paper in preparation to begin the exam I actually SMILED! Previously taking this approach prior to an exam was not something that would fit for me. Smiling turning over an exam paper! But yes, smile I did and didn't I feel good. I even found myself saying "The exam is easy -- it is as though I wrote it myself".. as Sandy suggests on his tape.
In one exam paper I remember there were 100 multiple choice questions -- all containing lengthy possible answers. If I encountered a question to which I was not aware that I knew the answer to I would say to myself "the answer is coming" and then move along to the next question OR drop into my peaceful place for 30 seconds or less and guess what? The answer would come just as Sandy had said on the tape - typically within 2 or 3 questions further along. This tape was invaluable to me and gave me the confidence, clarity and focus I needed to succeed in exams and study. I used it over and over and was able to visualise the grade I wanted and how I would feel when I was handed back the graded exam paper. I have to say it was one of most effective techniques that assisted me during these University years. Very Powerful!
Student's Steps to Success enabled me to relax in 30 seconds flat and to understand the power of the subconscious mind in retaining information and accessing it at the right time ..... The subconscious mind is a vast storehouse! I would set myself goals and achieve them without stress knowing that my confidence was growing and stress was going and most of all to love myself. Unconditional love is a major factor without a doubt. Self confident. Thanks to discovering your tape back then I breezed through my study and exams. Getting into my peaceful place in the exam room helped me beyond measure
Then in September 2007 I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy when I attended the 3 Hour Active Meditation Seminar/Workshop. I had recently moved to Northern NSW. I was undergoing a major adjustment/ adaptive process in a new geographical area. I had recently relocated after 20 years and missed my previously established social network. In addition to this major change my husband and best friend died from cancer 18 months ago. It was a loss of immense magnitude, exacerbated by the geographical relocation - many changes in a short space of time which significantly effected me at all levels.
I can't begin to explain the shift in consciousness that I experienced after attending the Active Meditation. I was totally transformed by it and had the opportunity to practise the Peaceful Place and apply experience and apply Sandy's techniques first hand. Sandy is amazing ... I can't sing his praises enough. During a seminar one feels as though one knows him personally.
The key to understanding how creative visualisation works is to first understand that your subconscious mind does not know what is real and what is fiction. It simply creates your reality, based on the image that you visualise. You will learn about the freedom of Forgiveness and to expand your comfort zones -- this is freeing in itself.
I also purchased the Life Skills Seminar DVD and CD Program. This incredible system teaches and shows you how to use all your powers so that your conscious mind and subconscious mind are working for you -- for the rest of your life! Developing these powerful forces is much like raising a child. You need to work with them gently, constantly nurturing them. Sandy's seminars and Audio and DVD programs show you how to do this. Here you will begin to learn and understand the power of the mind and how it can be accessed through Sandy's incredibly awesome and effective system. You can learn the ability to relax and release stress any time, anywhere. Meditation and creative visualisation can improve our communication with the subconscious mind.
I now use these techniques with my clients who have also achieved awesome and life changing results. Thank you Sandy you are an inspiration to us all and a walking example of how love heals and how powerful the mind is. Thank you again Sandy and I hope to meet up with you again soon. With deep gratitude. Elita Purcill, Holistic Psychotherapist and Life Coach. NSW.
nothing stops me
Thanks so much for the opportunity to attend your seminar, it has changed my life remarkably even in such a short period and I am feeling so GOOD! Even on days when I am feeling a little low I go to Peaceful Place or meditate and all the colour comes back into the world again. I have been meditating every morning before I start work and nothing stops me, if I’m late to a meeting so be it! Hehehe. Still sleeping so much better too, dropping off before I even get to the colours now. LM, NSW.
Various Uses
Hi Sandy,
Here is my experience of the effects of meditating whilst I donate my platelets & plasma every 2 weeks on an alternate basis.
Firstly, I feel that donating these blood products is the best thing I do in my life, and in fact I sense that it's one of the keys to my life’s purpose .
During the week leading up to the Friday afternoon donation, the week seems to flow perfectly, culminating in the donation afternoon being filled with a quiet satisfaction and gratitude for being able to donate.
As a rule the donation session commences with an initial interview, the completion of a questionnaire, and measure of Blood Pressure .
I have been recording these readings, since completing the CHI Course some years ago. In the moments preceding the Blood Pressure reading, I go to my Peaceful Place and say on the breath in , “In with a deeper peace “, and on the exhale , “Out with all anxiety”,
It is wonderful to see that my blood pressure, during the occasions of saying these affirmations, is generally lower; by at least 10% , ie. my blood pressure is normally 120/75, and with affirmation, it's 110 / 65. My lowest was 103/56 during a medical examination with my Doctor last year.
This is all the more remarkable, when you think that most folks' blood pressure has a tendency to be higher than normal during such interviews, knowing what’s ahead, and because of what’s known as the "White Coat effect" when doctors and nurses are present.
Then, following the interview, we are off to another room with an array of 25 chairs similar to those at dentists - coloured in a light navy blue vinyl, with armrests and lay-back head and shoulder support, with the front section lifting to support your legs in a horizontal position. Once in position the process of connecting tubes, and insertion of catheters begins.
However, I was amazed 2 months ago to hear the nurse's positive comments regarding my blood flow rate during my 1-2 hour donation session, which after 10 years of donating, and 3 years of meditating, I had never heard before.
He stated, that normal blood flow rate is 80 ml/min. His observation of my flow rate within 5- 10 minutes, was that it dropped to 60 ml/min - a 25% flow rate reduction and this being within minutes of using Peaceful Place! What a wonderful, easily discernable measure of the near immediate benefit of entering my Peaceful Place.
Moreover, for many months, a couple of years ago, the nurses would regularly come up to me after I laid back in the chair, because the machine would commence to beep, flagging a rapid drop in my flow rate – now they know that this is because I meditate.
I am grateful for and cherish the gift that I am able to give to others, and the benefits I receive from spending 60 minutes in my Peaceful Place.
Another interesting experience occurs when, during my mediation, I regularly envisage the passing on of the white light of Unconditional Love to each of those nurses in the room and others donating and this invariably engenders in me a wonderful feeling of peace .
Quite often I finish my meditation, appearing to staff as though I have been crying, for I have become so associated with the meditative experience, and my peaceful place, and am often asked “Are you ok ?” Of course I always say: Yes, I have just been meditating. This more often than not provides a rich opportunity for discussion about Sandy’s great work, and his Peaceful Place tools.
Sandy, Please feel free to use and distribute my experience as you see fit, in the hope that even more will benefit from your good work.
Cheers & God Bless you mate ! Barry VICTORIA
I overcame anxiety
First, and belatedly I want to thank you for your wonderful seminar. I have been meditating for many years (on and off) and I have to tell you that your presentation was the best that I have experienced. Your knowledge and presentation across all areas was brilliant.
My beautiful daughter I feel needs to find her PP before she suffers with anxiety as I did, which 'hit me out of the blue' when I was about 47. Luckily through meditation and prayer I overcame same. I'm keen for my daughter to discover and use her own "Peaceful Place". RS NSW
a happy ending
I thank you for your wonderful MMNs that you have sent me, and all the advice in your CD’s. All have helped me greatly as I nursed my husband after a stroke in December 2010. It was a very long and difficult haul, but I am so thankful that this has had a happy ending after two years. He is back working part-time in our business, and we are able to live our life almost as normally as before the stroke. As I said your MMN’s and your CD’s, which I value and treasure, have helped me immensely. I can feel your caring through all your writings and CDs. Thank you again. B E NSW
peace with our past
Life has its challenges and we can grow and be made stronger by our experiences.
My key is to be healthy happy and breathe in each moment of every day. Accept the good with the not so good and turn everything into a positive. Embracing our lives. Try to be at peace with our past. Be focused and not fragile.
Your meditations gives me this balance. I will always be so thankful and grateful for experiencing what you have shared. C.J. Vic
