Preview About The Self-Directed Learner's Work Book
This Self-Directed Learner's Work Book is divided into 8 weekly sessions (which can be done faster if you so choose). Each session will guide you through the using the resources in the CALM Kit step by step so that you
learn to use the power of your incredible subconscious mind and you also experience it working for you!
Self Directed Learning Sessions:
Each weekly session will ask you to listen to some tapes and read relevant chapters in the book Piece of Mind. In weeks 1 and 7 you will also be asked to watch a video. You will do this in a way
that suits your way of learning.
If you love to read, then you may wish to read the chapters of
"Piece of Mind" before you listen to the audio tapes, or you may wish to read the entire book before you start anything else!
If you prefer to listen to tapes, then do that first, and read the relevant chapters of the book as a review.
If reading is not your favourite activity, then you might like to have a look at the
'Mind Charts' at the beginning and end of each chapter, and also the illustrations scattered throughout the book. These preview and revise all the information contained in the chapters - in a visual form!
You can listen to the audio tapes in your car, or on your personal stereo while walking or jogging, if you like to be physically active. Please note, however, the Audio Tape "A Peaceful Place No. 2" should only be used while you are still and inactive!
The videos are a marvellous way to preview and revise the information because they are visual and auditory at the same time, and use colour! If you make notes at the same time, then you are also utilising your kinesthetic learning ability.
Weekly Activities:
These work with both your conscious mind and your subconscious mind. They also help you to build up your skill level so that you will be able to use the power of your subconscious in any situation.
Questions And Answers:
The questions are a useful way to check how much your conscious mind can recall from your reading and listening to the tapes.
When you have answered the questions for each week, you can check your answers by listening to the tapes again, or by looking through the relevant chapters in the book Piece of Mind. Another way is to check with the answers at the end of the Work Book.
The Work Book:
You'll notice that all the left-hand pages are blank - this is for you to make notes while you listen to the tapes and watch the videos.
You can also jot down any questions as they come up - writing them down actually gets the subconscious mind working on seeking the answer for you!
And use coloured pens - the creative side of our mind loves colour and it helps memory too!
Colour in the Mind Charts and the pictures too, both in this booklet, and in Piece of Mind - especially while you're listening to the Audio Tapes.
