In the last month I have completed watching a series on ABC TV (from the BBC) titled "the humanbrain", narrated by Professor Robert Winston . The series takes a pioneering journey through the unexplored galaxy inside our own heads, describing cutting edge science and extraordinary experiments. (This series is available from ABC bookshops in Australia for $29.95).
My favourite part of the series is when Professor Winston talks about a neural pathway and the fact that science has made the connection between visualisation and the establishment of a neural pathway. Furthermore, the established link between a neural pathway and physical achievement.

I was talking to my friend, Laurence Toltz, a few days ago and he asked me whether I had a summary of my techniques on changing habits, that he could send on to other people.
I realised that I didn't have one. He believed it was important to have this for people who have not done my seminars or read my books, and for those looking at my website for the first time. A summary would help them to more easily understand the concepts.
Laurence and I got together and have produced the following E-Report which explains in a simple way the processes I teach. I thought that this may be of interest to you as a reminder of how my system can help change habits. It also occurred to me that you may like to e-mail it on to friends who you feel could benefit from it.

IF .... YOU'RE JUST NOT DOING IT - WHAT'S STOPPING YOU?
Deep down we know what to do. Our parents have told us. We went to school and over and over again we were instructed, taught, cajoled, persuaded about what we need to do. At work we were taught again - we attended courses, we did on-the-job training, we read instructions and we practised. So we know what to do - we know how to be successful - we know that we can improve and ' WE JUST DON'T DO IT !

Chris Brown attended the CHI Seminar in January 2010. Prior to this, in June 2009, Sandra and I spent a most enjoyable holiday camping and exploring the Kimberley – all planned by Chris. We spent 3 days at the treasured area of Mitchell Plateau where Chris was living. He had lived in this area for some 20-plus years with the local remote Aboriginal Community. During this time he has resolutely fought for justice and a fair deal in keeping this area free from mining, whilst developing the locals as Tour Guides (amongst other things – for example, schools).

Most people are familiar with at least some form of mantra meditation. Mantras are single syllable sounds that you hold for an extended period of time while performing the meditation breathing, and relaxation techniques. "Om" is perhaps the most well known, but some also use "Ah" or a related sound depending on their practices.

When introducing meditation as a topic in my seminars, many people say to me "I can't meditate", or "I've tried - and failed", or "I always have so many thoughts", "I can't sit with my legs crossed", "I can't think nothing" ... and more. What really prompted this E-Report is the number of people who query the value of meditation, who say that they don't have time, or simply ask "What is meditation?"

I have often been asked whether I am religious; do I believe in God; what is my faith; do I believe in Jesus Christ; do I subscribe to all faiths; and more.

A few words firstly about Eastern meditation. Most Eastern meditation is based on working towards "emptying the mind" or "having no thoughts". We talk to ourselves 65,000 times a day. It's a huge challenge to have no thoughts and many people who try to learn this type of meditation give up, saying that they "can't meditate" because they are always interrupted by thoughts.
It is important to realise that you can have thoughts and still be in the Theta brainwave state - that is, still be meditating!

For some time now a friend of mine, who has done the CHI Seminar, has been speaking with me about the "awesome" (his word) uses there are for putting Peaceful Place (PP) to work in your life.
My intention with this EReport is to share my friend's letter which describes his uses for PP and to ask you to respond and send me additional ways that you use PP. I really want to encourage others and expand awareness by building a library of uses: So, - please contribute.
First to a quick explanation of what is PP.

Why so Many Meditation CDs?
I asked someone close to me who is very familiar with my work “Why do you really think I have developed so many meditation CDs?”
Here were some of the answers:
